A highly successful REALTOR® and commercial helicopter pilot, Arnel Aliwalas brings superior instinct, focus, social skills and reasoning to each client engagement. Mr. Aliwalas began his career in aviation in 1996, and it was 10 years later that his love of real estate led him into the investing field, where he broadened his analytical, sales and negotiation capabilities.

Arnel joined the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1997, where he led students through rigorous aviation programs, coaching and encouraging each throughout their Avionics and Commercial Flight Training. It was during this time that he joined the Canadian Forces Reserves with the 408 Tactical Helicopter Squadron in Edmonton.

On being deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina on a 2003 peacekeeping tour, Arnel states: “Flying for the military was the perfect definition of how a team of people could contribute to ensuring everyone arrived home safely. Whether mechanics, flight engineers, pilots, safety systems or logistics, we all worked together and supported each other. I was truly honored and humbled to serve my country in this capacity.”

Following his military service, Mr. Aliwalas joined Calgary’s STARS Air Ambulance as a helicopter air ambulance pilot. In this role, he managed the base of operations and worked collaboratively with staff, engineers and pilots.
